Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon

Quite a few years ago, I chanced upon a book called the White Hotel, and right after that, read something else with a reference to the same. Thought it was a coincidence. Then these things started happening with irregular frequency, I would come across an
obscure/abstract concept, and then be in a situation where I would use that information very soon. Told some people about it, they always looked at me in a funny way.

So imagine my delight, when I came across the "Baader-Meinhof phenomenon" which occurs when a person, after having learned some (usually obscure) fact, word, phrase, or other item for the first time, encounters that item again, perhaps several times, shortly after having learned it. I don't think there is anything magical about it. Probably something a bit hard to explain and the "recency" idea sort of does that.

I was wondering if anyone reading this has ever experienced something similar?

Time Travel

The probability of time travel seems to be very very low. The reason I say that is because no one has ever come back from the future, and if humankind is capable of time travel, they would have returned to us in the present. And I don't see any credible evidence of that.

The same doesn't apply to evolved life forms in the rest of the universe, maybe they haven't found us yet. And maybe they aren't even looking. Having said that, I don't think we have ever been visited by aliens.
