At least they are not asleep

After I had posted, I realized I had missed out on something, there was a story of a man who had filed a paternity suit against his wife, claiming that the child was not his and wanted to prove it on the basis of dna testing that was done on the child. The Shariat Court threw the case out, saying that dna test results were inadmissable.

The reason why I talk about these things is not because I have a judgement call to make, I just find most of these things ludicrious. And wonder if I am the only person who sees the stupidity. So the average moron will keep doing things like this, its for the lawmakers and people who implement these laws to make sure they aren't wasting everybody's time. As it is, there are enough people who are stuck in the justice system and lives have been put on hold just so that they waste yet another day debating the rigid and outdated Hudood Ordinance.

Our Fearless Leader gave a statement yesterday, saying that DNA testing is admissable. Which is good, but I have a few questions

1. Since when did FL become an expert in Shariat Law?
2. Why not do away with the whole Hudood thing and replace it with something that makes sense?

And the reason is simple, FL is not so fearless as he would have us believe. For reasons best known to him, he keeps making noises, and then makes a hasty retreat everytime the mullah brigade rears its ugly head. I have said this before and I will say it again, I would respect the man if he had some agenda and he stuck to it, instead of making these u-turns.

So there we have it.

I cannot understand the fascination of people with reality shows. Which I suppose is responsible for a lot of shows based on fantasy and magic that I cannot stand either. Switch on the tv and thats what you will find, a camera crew following people around or shows that have people with powers of magic and ESP. Hey I like shows like CSI, NYPD Blues and the various law dramas, so sue me!

Oh well, I have to prepare for my interview tomorrow, and enough procrastination.
